Demo Appointment: $95 per horse.
If you are in the market for a new saddle and would like to try any of Borné Saddlery or Custom Saddlery's models, please contact me to schedule an appointment. I will take tracings and measurements of your horse, listen to your needs, and select a few models that I think will work best for you and your horse. You will need your pad, stirrups, and girth. As an independent fitter, I am not on a salary. This fee covers my time, and the cost and maintenance of my demos.
Evaluation of Current Saddle Fit: $55 per horse/saddle combination.
I will take history for both you and your horse, assess your horse's symmetry and conformation, take back measurements/tracings, check your current saddle, and conduct a static evaluation. Suggestions on how to improve the fit of your current saddle with flock, tree modifications and/or padding will be made.
Travel Fee: $50 for the first 20 miles from my office in Elizabeth, CO. Additional mileage to be billed at 60 cents per mile, round trip.
Tolls (E-470, NW Parkway, etc), if incurred, will be added to the travel fee. Overnight trips will include surcharges to cover hotel room.
The travel fee will be quoted prior to scheduling your appointment. As an independent saddle fitter, I own and maintain my truck, trailer and tools - and am not on salary from any saddle manufacturer. The travel fee may be split between clients scheduled at the same barn on the same day.
Long-Distance Fitting/Fit to Tracings: $425
If you require a long-distance fitting, the tree will be fit to template based on your tracings, photos and videos. The flock will be refreshed and balanced, as deemed necessary. Shipping both directions is at customer's expense.
On-Site Flocking Adjustments: $160, additional charges will apply if panels must be dropped to make adjustments.
Complete Reflock: $400 plus return shipping (not completed onsite). Additional fees may apply for brands other than Custom Saddlery, or for removal of moldy or synthetic flocking materials.
Tree Adjustment: $220 (Custom Saddlery models only)
Tree adjustment and flocking adjustment at the same time: $275 (Custom Saddlery models only)
Billet Replacements: $40 each. Additional $80 will be charged if front of saddle needs to be unstitched to access billet(s).
Drop panels & restitch for tree inspection, tree measurement, if required in addition to flocking adjustment, or other reasons: $80
Estimates for other services and repairs will be provided upon request.
*Payment is due at time of appointment- NO EXCEPTIONS. We accept checks and credit cards, and offer a 4% discount for paying by check. Returned checks will be assessed a $50 fee. No further appointments may be scheduled until all outstanding balances have been paid.
*We are not able to accept "walk-ups", as the daily schedule does not permit the additional time required to see clients not already on the schedule.
*Offsite adjustments and repairs may be paid for upon completion. Pickup arrangements are the responsibility of the customer. Shipping or delivery (if available) is at additional cost and must be paid in advance.
*Return of saddles on that are on a trial basis is the responsibility of the customer. Please contact us for a shipping address, or to arrange an appointment to drop off the demo saddle at my office.
*No shows and appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged $50 plus any applicable trip fees for the no-show appointment. Appointments may not be rescheduled until fees are paid.
*Adjustments to saddle tree and/or flocking are NOT guaranteed. Please be available to ride in your newly adjusted saddle during our appointment, to insure that you are happy with the changes.
*PLEASE do not use packing peanuts when shipping saddles.
*Red Horse Saddlery reserves the right to cancel appointments due to hazardous weather! Every effort will be made to keep all scheduled appointments, however, poor driving conditions will result in appointments being postponed. Thank you for your understanding.
*Due to high demand for appointments, open spots that have been offered to you via email, text or phone will only be held for 24 hours. After that time, they may be offered to other clients.
*For safety reasons, Red Horse Saddlery may refuse to work with ANY horse that Red Horse Saddlery considers dangerous or not under adequate control during measurement, tracing and fit assessment. Any appointment fees will NOT be refunded or waived, and are still due at the time of the appointment.
