POLICIES
*For all appointments, please have horse(s) caught, groomed and ready to saddle at our scheduled appointment time. Please be dressed to ride.
*Payment is due at time of appointment- NO EXCEPTIONS. We accept checks, PayPal and Venmo. Returned checks will be assessed a $75 fee. No further appointments may be scheduled until all outstanding balances have been paid.
*Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours notice will be assessed a $75 cancellation fee. Appointments may not be rescheduled until cancellation fee is paid.
*We are not able to accept "walk-ups", as the daily schedule does not permit the additional time required to see clients not already on the schedule.
*Offsite adjustments and repairs may be paid for upon completion. Pickup arrangements are the responsibility of the customer. Shipping or delivery (if available) is at additional cost and must be paid in advance.
*No shows will be charged $75 plus any applicable trip fees for the no-show appointment. Appointments may not be rescheduled until fees are paid. If you are more than 15 minutes late, your appointment will be considered a "no-show", and charged accordingly.
*Adjustments to saddle flocking are not guaranteed. Please be available to ride in your newly adjusted saddle during our appointment, to ensure that you and your horse are happy with the changes.
*Red Horse Saddlery reserves the right to cancel appointments due to hazardous weather. Every effort will be made to keep all scheduled appointments, however, poor driving conditions, freezing temperatures and/or high winds will result in appointments being postponed. Thank you for your understanding.
*Due to high demand for appointments, open spots that have been offered to you via email, text or phone will only be held for 24 hours. After that time, they may be offered to other clients.
*For safety reasons, Red Horse Saddlery may refuse to work with ANY horse that Red Horse Saddlery considers dangerous or not under adequate control during measurement, tracing and fit assessment. Any appointment fees will NOT be refunded or waived, and are still due at the time of the appointment.
PRICING:
*Travel: $1 per mile, round trip. Tolls, if incurred, will be added to the travel fee. Travel is split between all clients seen at the same barn on the same day.
*Evaluations: $125 per horse, includes up to two saddles. Additional saddles, on the same horse during the same visit, are $50 each. If the fit oof your current saddle(s) cannot be improved with flocking adjustments or shims, I am happy to help you shop for a new saddle. I have several trusted resellers that I can recommend, who allow reasonable trial periods. This "personal shopping" service is available for up to six weeks after your initial evaluation.
*Flocking adjustments: $120-$200, depending on amount of work.
*Drop panels/Open up saddle: $80
*Billet replacements: $40 EACH. It is recommended that all billets be replaced at the same time. An additional $80 will be charged if the saddle needs to be opened up to access billet webbing, or to access enough billet webbing to stitch billets.
*Gullet plate changes: $50 Gullet plate to be provided by saddle owner. This includes Wintec, Bates, Thorogood, Fairfax, Kent & Masters, etc.
*Specialized/TW Shim Set-Up: $100
